Tuberculosis Outbreak Elgin County January 2007

In January 2007, two cases of active tuberculosis involving residents of Elgin County long term care homes were diagnosed. Over the course of the outbreak investigation, over 600 contacts were identified and assessed. This report summarizes the details of the management of the outbreak and the recommendations made by those most actively involved in the management of the outbreak.
