What is a Healthy Workplace?
Why Have a Healthy Workplace?
Through workplace health promotion initiatives workplaces can improve the health of the workplace environment and their workers.
Workplace health promotion is defined as: “those educational, organizational or economic activities in the workplace designed to improve the health of workers and therefore the community at large” (Chu 1994).
At Elgin St. Thomas Public Health we support the concept of a comprehensive health workplace. (Insert Comprehensive Workplace Approach Diagram from the National Quality Institute)
